So...I just got back from L.A. on Monday after a wonderful weekend of visiting one of my best friends from high school with my other two best friends from high school and had a grrreeeattt story to share with you guys!
We decided to really "go-out" in Hollywood on Saturday night. We dressed up to the nines --- put on the most make-up I have ever owned --- wore short dresses ---- my friend pretty much looked like Kim Kardashian in her tight little number --- and hit the town. Well, it really is like the movies where you stand behind a red velvet rope and have to "know people" to get in and then they hand pick you out of the large crowd of people anxiously awaiting entrance.
*It really is a joke how the people who work at these places act like they are doing a job that is going to completely change the world, but whatever.*
So after a failed attempt at one club, we are finally told to tell the door person at another club called "Playhouse" the name "Princeton Afeezus" by some random girl we met waiting to go into the first club. Amazingly, this weird suggestion worked and the velvet rope was lifted and we entered into a legit and CRAZY Hollywood club where the music was pumping and the drinks were $11. We danced there a little bit and then were requested to go to a new club to meet one of Erin's friends named Ahmed. He is from Dubai and his cousins ordered "bottle service" at this new club (bottle service consists of paying around $600 a night to get bottles of Grey Goose and all possible mixers all night long). The club was called "Voyeur" and once we talked to "Debra" and were given permission to enter, it was like we were in another world. All of the dancers there were topless --- yes, I said topless, Ladies ---- there was one crawling on a net above our heads, and two in a glass case acting way too sensual for anyone's own good ---- and two on a stage dressed like babies?!?!?!?! It was the weirdest thing, but there was such a high class crowd and it was like elite L.A. nightlife. I looked it up online later and found out people from the Hills, Ryan Phillipe, Avril Lavigne, Kelis, and others frequent there often although I did not see any celebs myself.
So we drank for free and danced to "house music" all night. But, this is still not the end...
Ahmed is from Dubai and his family hit oil there, so needless to say, they have a lot of cash. He took us to his cousin's villa in Bel-Air which they were renting for like 3 weeks so they could go out and party (and FYI, they had ordered bottle service EVERY NIGHT since they had arrived at different clubs in L.A.) and hung out in this mansion on the very top of a mountain with an inifinity pool that overlooks all of L.A. I definitely ran around the house taking pictures the entire time and could not believe what was happening to my life.
So....in conclusion... I am probably a princess in Dubai now AND a celeb in L.A.
I love that you are going to marry a Dubian.
