I guess that its time for me to participate in this discussion - though I have not posted anything, I have been reading it and am thankful that it was created for us to keep up with each other.
First, it seems like there is so many wonderful things going on to be excited about and thankful for; jobs, houses, grad school, beach trip...
As for me, I have been in Clemson all summer - working at First Sun and Fike. I have really tried to work a lot and save some money because I am not sure what I will be doing after the summer (i guess in about a month now). Clemson is VERY quiet and lonely - however, we have had some fun with baseball and as always, my downstairs neighbors in CP have been making my life interesting/funny/scary (J and Nanc - you understand what I mean). Just when I think I have gotten used to living alone, I was woken up at 4:30 a.m. to what sounded like Beck Cogshell relentlessly banging on the front door - unfortunately it was not Beck and the person clearly had the wrong house but would not stop so i called the cops/will cook/polly/travis/rob in a panic (like Nancy was when Beck tried to break in at 6 a.m.) Anyway, it turned about to be a likely drug deal from downstairs and the guy was hauled off in a cop car and I have tried not to spend the night alone ever since.
Though that has been the most eventful thing that has happened to me all summer, I am sad to look at the calendar and see this summer coming to an end - it feels like a whirled wind of 4 unforgettable years have that dropped me here and this slow pace has allowed me to reflect over the experiences, people, places, memories, mistakes, accomplishments, and lessons that have comprised COLLEGE and that have shaped who I am now.
Although I am terrible at keeping in touch with people and have an obvious problem with communication - I want to remind each of you that I am thankful for how God has brought us together at Clemson and it would take me another 4 years and a million "posts" to tell you what I love, admire, and miss about each of you.
Even in this new and somewhat uncertain time, I am excited about the future and encouraged about the positive things that have happened thus far. I hope to have another chance to all get together before the end of the summer and I look forward to catching up!
Sincerely,
Kacey
