Hey girls! Okay so I just had to give everyone a little recap/update of my day yesterday. First of all, I'm in DC for the Microsoft Worldwide Partnership Convention. It's out of control---14,000 people and 140 different countries represented....you've never seen so many asians and blackberrys in your LIFE! Me and my tall blonde self no blackberry stick out like a sore thumb. Any who....We've been in meetings all week (and even saw Pres Clinton speak as the keynote one day) and still managed to have some fun! :) Yesterday we toured the city and hit up all the monuments, memorials, White House aka Augs future home, etc. During me dragging our group around the city taking lots of pics, I accidentally walked in the middle of a filming shoot of Jesse Ventura (apparently he was a big famous wrestler, turned actor in the Predator, turned governor--friends with Arnold S clearly) :) and i said oops! sorry about that! ----I didn't realize he was famous and the guys were freaking out when they saw him...who knew!
Then, last night we went to a Dinner Reception at the Newseum (the museum of news) and they handed out glow stick necklaces when you got there, you were recorded on the big screen and then when you got your drinks they had a flashing glowing ice cube and a glow stick straw! I rocked it like there was no tomorrow---I knew yall would be proud. Then, in order to get to the balcony you had to ride the PARTYVATOR! Which is a full glass 50 person elevator that has a full bar on it..! Needless to say we rode it up and down a couple of times having a full party in the partyvator. The balcony overlooked the Capitol and you got to see the whole city at night--beautiful!
After that dinner reception, we headed to "The White Party" where everyone was dressed in all white....that was really fun and then when that was over, me and my friend Meredith were sitting on the steps trying to decide our next move (whether to go to "THE Party" or go home) and this guy starts talking to us and asking if we are going to "THE Party" and we said we were but we didn't know where it was....so he's like come on with us! Well we then find out that the "us" is the new president of Microsoft and the guy that is in charge of this whole conference! So we get in his limo and head to "THE Party". When we get there, there is a red carpet, and we walk behind them through the VIP line, and on the red carpet are drag queens (?!?!?!!!!) taking pictures with everyone and everyone is just RAGING inside with like colored leopard hats, etc. ...we part from our new found friends with promises to come see us at SYNNEX in Gville and head to the bar. At the bar is a midget in a pimp suit standing on the bar pouring Parrott Bay shots into people's mouths as they come up and dancing like a fooooolll! There are big screens everywhere and music is pumping and everyone is raging...it was out. of. control.
Sorry for the long story---I thought I would catch yall up on my experiences this week....it's been quite the time! Love yall so much, miss you like crayyyy! I better see each of you soon..I'll keep you posted if anything else out of control happens!
