Hey Everyone!
August, I love what you've done with the blog! Hopefully now we'll get back to using it some more and keeping each other updated on our lives. This post might be a little boring but I had a really fun couple days in Charlotte with my family this past weekend and thought I'd share. First of all, I have a grandmother (kind of, related through lots marriages) who has a three bedroom place in a great part of charlotte only about 10-15 min from dt who now lives with her bf (she's 91 and decided its not worth the paperwork to get married again) and basically doesn't use her house EVER. We stayed there this past weekend and I thought it'd be fun to get a group up to go out and spend the weekend in Charlotte (just a thought for the future).
So we went to the U.S National Whitewater Center in Charlotte Sunday as a family outing and it was SO great that I'd love to go back with ya'll. I know the following won't sound appealing to some of you but for those of you who do like these things it's great! They have over 13 miles of hiking/biking/running trails, ziplines and ropes course, canopy tour (zipline throughout the trees around the place for two hours), whitewater rafting, kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing, bungee type jumping, and much more. SO maybe one weekend we can get a group together and go do the dt Charlotte scene and some shopping or just cooking and hanging out and then do the USNWC one day too.
